ORIGINAL ARTWORK
INVASION
Inspired by early childhood drawings of "killer fish"- mysterious creatures of the deep with huge teeth. This piece is a new perspective showcasing a different type of killer fish - the lionfish has no natural predators so they dominate marine life near coral reefs, creating imbalance. Although they are a stunning, otherworldly species - beauty is in the variety and diversity of a healthy ecosystem.

ORIGINAL ARTWORK
HERON
The heron is a symbol of peace and stability. It moves with mindfulness and grace. Another majestic creature that is very personal to me. This piece fully combines my carving and painting styles - depending on the quality of light and viewing angle, different colors and textures emerge.

ORIGINAL PAINTING
LION IN THE SUN
This piece is inspired by my polish heritage and folk art "wycinanki" or "paper cutting". I've been fascinated with this technique since I was a kid and connected with the bright colors and bold shapes/patterns. Why the lion? I see the lion as a strong energy in my life - confidence, boldness and vulnerability represented in one large painting. These last few years have been rough, but working on this design has renewed my confidence in my heritage, my artwork and myself.

ORIGINAL CARVING
LION IN THE SUN
This carving is a companion piece to the lion painting. I've been scaling up my woodworking from kitchen utensils and cutting boards to furniture and home decor. The lion head design is roughly 18"x18" and is completely done by hand using a 3mm gouge. This piece is dynamic because it looks different depending on how light (natural or artificial) hits it.

ORIGINAL ARTWORK
FIRE LILY
This piece is inspired by wycinanki, a traditional paper cutting folk art from my polish family heritage. The idea was to combine my craft of woodcarving with spray paint and acrylic - a vibrant design accent to the natural tones and pattern of the woodgrain.
